Was there a what-links-here option ?

Hi there,

I'm a recent LQ Wiki user and I believe that, before the Oct 16 upgrade,
each page had an option to list all other pages that linked TOWARDS IT. I
can no longer find this option.

OTOH, I might have seen this resource on some other site instead of LQ's,
in which case please take my apologies (and maybe my suggestion to
consider implementing this on LQ Wiki).

I didn't add [SOLVED] to subject because the original question wasn't
really answered (yet). So [GOTCHA] is more appropriate.

Because there's a manual way of getting the what-links-here info for any
particular wiki page.

For example, for page

Web browser


we might just format and drop one of the following URLs on browser
:


http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/index.php?title=Special:Whatlinkshere&target=Web
browser

or


http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/index.php?title=Special:Whatlinkshere&target=Web%20browser


So the conclusion is: the Wiki supports the function, but for some reason
the admins decided to omit an easily clickable link on each page for
activating such function (potential DB stress I'd think).


For frequent use of this function one might just keep an open text editor
window handy, for quick formatting the appropriate URL for each page.


And lastly I'll repeat the request to make this function easily available
on each page. If not, would someone please clarify why not.

Just as an FYI, it wasn't intentionally removed - it just slipped
through the cracks during the upgrade.

This function WAS supported before (I used alot) no idea why its
vanished, prob jeremy missed it, or planned to move it to those nice
shiny tabs at top of page.

You're correct Thiers - there was. We'll get the functionality
restored ASAP. Thanks for the heads up.

Just wanted to let everyone know that What links here (along with
Related changes) has been added back into the LQ Wiki nav. You may have
to refresh to see the update. Thanks again to Thiers for pointing this
out.
