Also, I think the History article is a little rough, but might be good to
link to from the main page, since the links will take a reader deep into the
heart of the wiki. Do we have enough articles now for a Featured Articles
section?
I've changed my mind about the history article (which is now a disambig - the article I was referring to is now called "history of unix" due to a brain fart about case sensitivity) It might be a good Featured Article at some point, but I no longer think it's good enough for a permanent link.

After some further thought on the Featured Articles, I guess the only way to see if we have enough is to enable voting and see what happens. Last I checked, Wikipedia has a manual voting wiki. I think it might be easier for the mods and users if we have a voting button, down along the other buttons at the bottom of the page, which would automatically create a voting list for the mods. Something similar might be done for candidates for deletion. Of course, it's not easier for the person who actually codes said magical button, but at least it's a one-time deal. Other ideas on that matter occur to me, but I'll hold off until I hear if you want to do it at all.

Another Small Matter of Programming that would be nice is a article counter for the main page (and maybe the Community Commons?), and perhaps a link to a time graph displaying how the number of articles has changed over time.

I'm developing a mental laundry list of such SMoPs, which I'll try to flesh out and prioritize. As long as I'm volunteering work for people, I suppose I'll offer my services as mod.

You can get that info here:

Now that would be quite slick. We could probably do something
simple like a chart using GD.

Keep them coming ;)
